As 12 years have passed since this iconic play, the player base of League of Legends has since expanded on the original mechanic.
Follow the below steps to perform in your next ranked games.
Flash Insec:
About this Insec:
This is the classic “Insec”. It’s the basic interation of the mechanic that you need to lock down if you want to expand your Lee Sin mechanics. It involves hitting your enemy target and then Flashing behind them. It’s important to remember your flash cooldown for this technique!
Steps:
- Q1 to hit enemy/target
- Q2 to move towards enemy/target
- Place cursor behind enemy/target
- Flash to position behind enemy/target
- Hover/click enemy/target and press R
- Follow up with other abilities
Ward Hop Insec:
About this Insec:
This is an advanced version of the classic “Insec”. It enables you to perform an Insec without having your Flash available. However, it adds difficulty as you need to remember to place a ward in the correct position.
HINT: We recommend turning your SMARTCAST ON to make this mechanic easier. As having SMARTCAST OFF with delay the speed you’re able to perform your Insec or lead you to fumble!
Steps:
- Q1 to hit enemy/target
- Q2 to move towards enemy/target
- Place cursor behind enemy/target
- Place ward/trinket
- W to placed ward/trinket
- Hover/click enemy/target and press R
- Follow up with other abilities
Mid Q Insec
About this Insec:
This Insec is one of the fancier iterations of the mechanic but requires less buttons. It enables you to use a different enemy champion to position yourself behind the intended target. This Insec requires you to cast R during your Q duration and travel time. Make sure you don’t kick the tank into your ADC!
Steps:
- Q1 to hit enemy/target near vulnerable enemy/target
- Q2 to move towards enemy/target
- Place cursor on vulnerable enemy/target
- While still mid Q2 press R on vulnerable enemy/target
- Follow up with other abilities
